Voices, 2022

Voices is a bold digital artwork of kinetic typography intended to create moments of contemplation as a large-scale projection and as a stand alone video work. Somewhere between a list and poem, Voices is composed solely of six letter words drawn from a continually growing database of some 180+ words. Voices is a continuation of interest in text art, concrete poetry, minimalism, and how language is used to create and share meaning. Words were selected that could function as both nouns, verbs, adjectives as well as words related to politics, poetics, and the artist's experience of living in Brisbane.
